About us
Paint’R has developed an innovative and more sustainable packaging solution for the painting industry, designed to improve efficiency at every stage of the workflow.
Our approach includes close collaboration with manufacturers, a strong focus on environmental impact, and continuous feedback from professional painters.
By integrating all these perspectives into the design process, we ensure that our solution not only reduces waste and plastic use but also delivers real usability and value for the people who work with it every day.
The company is led by Sofie Winge-Petersen, Victoria S. Søgaard, and Johan C. S. Vangstrup, who work together to develop smarter and more sustainable solutions for the painting industry.
Our mission
Our vision
1,5 million paint buckets are thrown out in the EU every day.
Our mission is to replace this single-use plastic with an innovative packaging design for the industry and deliver quality, ease of use, health & safety, compliant and environmentally friendly packaging, designed by engineers.
At Paint’R, we believe we can revolutionize the painting industry and further the sustainable agenda.
We have the painters’ needs in mind when designing and strive to create a great product that also has a positive impact on the environment.

Our global goals
We are mainly working towards SDG 12 – responsible consumption and production
Here there are relevant sub-targets, where 12.5 is the most important.
12.2
By 2030, achieve the sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources.
12.5
By 2030, substantially reduce waste generation through prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse.
12.6
Encourage companies, especially large and transnational companies, to adopt sustainable practices and to integrate sustainability information into their reporting cycle.
Our history
This project began in 2020 when we (a group of six students) attended the Green Entrepreneurship course at DTU. Through this program, we explored various entrepreneurial principles and gained valuable insights into the painting industry, identifying key challenges—one of which was the traditional paint bucket. Determined to tackle this issue, we conducted extensive interviews and workshops with painters and industry professionals. In the spring of 2021, we officially founded our company and dedicated as much time as possible outside our studies to developing a solution.
In 2023, as we completed our studies, we made the joint decision to restructure our team. Three co-founders moved on to pursue new opportunities, while the remaining three of us—part of the original founding team—continued to drive the company forward.
